Omaggio a Steve Jobs, imprenditore formidabile

Voglio ricordare Steve Jobs - imprenditore formidabile - con le sue parole agli studenti di Stanford: "Stay hungry, stay foolish", che si può tradurre con "Non siate mai sazi e soddisfatti, pensate fuori dal coro".

 “When I was 17, I read a quote that went something like: "If you live each day as if it was your last, someday you'll most certainly be right." It made an impression on me, and since then, for the past 33 years, I have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself: "If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?" And whenever the answer has been "No" for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something.

Remembering that I'll be dead soon is the most important tool I've ever encountered to help me make the big choices in life. Because almost everything — all external expectations, all pride, all fear of embarrassment or failure - these things just fall away in the face of death, leaving only what is truly important. Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart".

Death is very likely the single best invention of Life. It is Life's change agent. It clears out the old to make way for the new. Right now the new is you, but someday not too long from now, you will gradually become the old and be cleared away. Sorry to be so dramatic, but it is quite true.
 Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary".

Io lo dico sempre ai miei studenti: "Cercate di pensare con la vostra testa. Evitate di fare i pecoroni, di essere soggetti all’”effetto gregge”. Liberate le energie potenziali che sono in voi. Seguite le vostre passioni".
 
La crisi che stiamo vivendo ha tra le sue radici l'omologazione del pensiero, da me definita in un post una brutta bestia
Riflettiamo prima di agire. Non dobbiamo aver paura della nostra libertà di pensiero.

Caro Steve Jobs, ti sia lieve la terra.

  1. You can't connect the dots looking forward you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something: your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. Because believing that the dots will connect down the road will give you the confidence to follow your heart, even when it leads you off the well worn path.

  2. They only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven' t found it yet, keep looking, and don' t settle», l' unico modo di fare un grande lavoro è amare quello che fate. Se non l' avete ancora trovato, continuate a cercare, e non accontentatevi.

Praticò un rigore maniacale nello scartare nove progetti prima di approvarne uno, e a quel punto concentrava tutta l'attenzione su quel prodotto nuovo, la sua qualità, la soddisfazione del cliente. Perché è impossibile prevedere oggi se le sue ricette siano ripetibili? Perché alla fine la magìa si accendeva nel momento in cui Jobs saliva sul palco, e l'affabulatore ipnotizzava le masse. Quella non era economia industriale, era arte.(f. rampini, la repubblica)

  5. Steve Jobs has passed away, but his legacy will live longer than any of us. I am sad that my business hero has gone to his final reward, and forever grateful for what he has done to my world, both in business and in life. Thank you Steve, for a Jobs well done. Jeffrey Gitomer

  6. uomo vero! Esempio da seguire per tutti..dedizione al lavoro, famiglia, curiosità e pensiero, ma soprattutto grande umiltà che lo hanno portato dove è arrivato!. Questa si che è stata vita vera caro Steve, le persone che siedono in alto ma sono piccole non capiranno mai probabilmente cosa ha significato realmente vivere.

  7. E' bastato un semplice morso ad una mela per dar luogo ad un enorme innovazione che ha portato un cambiamento di proporzioni mondiali.
    Se non sbaglio 2000 anni fà qualcuno addentò una mela e accadde un cataclisma : la cacciata dal Paradiso Terrestre!
    Ecco s'inizia sempre da una mela!
    Genio Steve Jobs che abbiamo avuto la fortuna di conoscere!
